Many of my pieces draw on American folk styles and world folk music.
I combine classical and folk elements in these pieces. Presently, I am at work on a double concerto for violin and guitar, to be premiered by the Great Noise Ensemble in 2010-11, which will draw strongly on folk styles for both solo instruments.
